Top 100 Rock Songs of the 1990’s

Here now are the top 100 rock songs of the entire 1990s decade. This was the golden era of alternative! This list comes from Tunecaster at big rock top 100. Tunecaster has video links for most or all of ’em. I put up a few selected videos for my favorites, or at least songs i felt like hearing today.

My Own Prison was the biggest rock song of the 1990’s that did not become a number one song on the rock chart. My Own Prison got stuck for two weeks at number 2 under Mouth by Bush, which didn’t even make the top 100 songs of the decade. The song just hung around on the chart for so long that it overtook most of the number one songs for the decade. In fact, this is the only non-number one song that made the top 100 decade list! My Own Worst Enemy by Lit spent the most weeks as number one song in the rocking 90’s. It spent six straight weeks at number one, all alone. A few songs were number one for five weeks though. It wound up at #42 for the decade!
